I can go the distance

Description

I have often dreamed of a far off place
Where a hero's welcome would be waiting for me
Where the crowds would cheer, when they see my face
And a voice keeps saying this is where I'm meant to be
I'll be there someday, I can go the distance
I will find my way if I can be strong
I know every mile would be worth my while
When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong

The scene where Queen Coral talks to Turtle and tells him that it wasn't his fault was,,, really R E A L L Y important to me, so have this 20 minute doodle <3

Hooly lord am I so damn glad someone finally drew this scene

Ok so let me ramble just for a minute about this though?? The scene at least. You conveyed it so beautifully, Turtle's soft expression is so perfect, my son looks so proud aaA and g o d, I remember reading this scene and just fuckin' sobbing.

Everyone was saying how the scene with Darkstalker reminiscing about Clearsight made them cry, but oh noo haha, that one didn't do much for me. This unappreciated scene, on the other hand, murdered my soul and made me cry happy tears for this wonderful little socially anxious fish.

The drawing itself is so pretty (as is everything you draw) and the background is nice and simple (maybe a little too simple?) so that it doesn't draw away from the main focus, Turtle. The shading is a little plain, but hey, it's underwater; conveying light and shadow underwater is frickin hard. I feel like blurring Coral /slightly/ could've added more of an atmosphere/emphasis to Turtle, but that's honestly just personal opinion.

Beautiful overall, amazing to see appreciation for a forgotten scene, applause for you as usual <3
